Larry is a songwriter, producer, coach, and consultant in the music industry.
Larry started his professional songwriter career in the 1980s, capturing 69 awards in The American Song Festival.
Since then, he’s had more than 30 of his songs released on albums and featured in commercials, movies & prominent TV shows. His song placement, “Under the Influence,” appeared in a recent episode of the Amazon Prime show “Sneaky Pete”
Larry has written and produced for publishing houses Jobete Music, Lorimar Music, Dale Kawashima Music, Michael O’Connor Music and Lion’s Share Music (Kenny Rogers) and others.
Larry critiqued and made rewriting tips for a dozen unreleased U2 songs at a time, when Island Records owner Chris Blackwell was considering dropping the band from its label, a decision that Cox strongly recommended not doing. Lucky for Island!
Larry now resides in the Nashville area, where he continues to write and produce music – and nurture young talent.
