We had a fantastic opening round for Series 7 at our new venue host, Dogwood Nashville. 26 songwriters came out to compete and we heard many fantastic songs!

Sam and Cas will come back and join 19 other writers for the semi-final round to be held Monday March 16, 2020 at 7PM at Dogwood Nashville. The finals will be held Monday, March 23, 2020 at 7PM at Dogwood Nashville.

JUSTINE BLAZER
Justine Blazer is a Nashville recording artist, music and vocal producer, audio and mixing engineer songwriter and podcaster. She has 4 #1 hit singles on various independent charts.

Justine has been a professional in the music industry for over a decade. (She started when she was 8)

She has released 7 full albums, winner of the Ram Trucks Battle of the Bands National competition, has opened for Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Lee Brice, Lonestar and many more.

She has had sponsorships and endorsement deals with Chrysler Incorporated, Ram Trucks, Luna Guitars, Ernie ball strings and more. She has charted on the Music Row Top 100 Music Charts, her music video has been seen on VEVO, GAC, TNN and The Country Network.

She was on TV show called American Super Group with Jennifer Nettles and Elle King on MTV and POP.

Justine has toured over 200 dates a year and has also done 10-show European tour.

Justine currently performs weekly at her residency in Nashville, TN.

She now works as a full time music producer with numerous studios and record labels, doing artist development, songwriting and music production for herself, other artists and sync licensing placement.

She also produces a weekly podcast called SONIC FEMALE. Most recently, she was nominated for ‘Music Producer of the Year’ and ‘Country Female Artist of the Year’ for the Josie Music Awards, which is the largest independent and internationally recognized award show.

NANCY DECKANT
Nancy Deckant is Partner and GM of Nashville Cool a publishing company that represents writers and does independent song plugging.

Nancy started her career in music as an NSAI Workshop Coordinator, evaluating countless songs over an 8 year period.

She is also an accomplished songwriter. Her song “We Are The Stars” won first place Pop song in the Indie International Songwriters Competition.

In early 2020, Nancy is launching “Sooner”, a social network like Linkedin, for songwriters and publishers and music industry professionals.

JASON WYATT
Jason was the very first winner of Rising Star, when we started the contest 10 years ago.

Since that time, Jason was the former lead singer of the ACM nominated 4 time top 40 band “The Lost Trailers.”

Jason now focuses his time developing new artists, and has made a name for himself writing and producing projects from country to pop to Rock.

Jason’s most recent success story is “Sweet Tea Trio” who was recently signed to Kid Rock and Ken Levitan (Vector Management) management. Jason produced their 6 song EP and wrote 2 of their songs.

Jason is launching Nashville Artist Development University, NADU is a subscription based service where emerging songwriters and artists can learn the music business, and how to increase the quality of their music and the quantity of their influence.
