We have a winner of Nashville Rising Song Series 7! We held the finals, online via video songs our finalists submitted on our new virtual singer-songwriter open-mic contest website, GLOBAL RISING SONG
The finals consisted of our 4 finalists, Bryan Ruby, Halley Neal, Aaron Richard and Jordan Allen, who all won a Prelim Round (10 rounds with a total of 210 total competitors), then made their way through the semi-finals (21 semi-finalists) and made the finals! They each submitted 4 original songs via video for fans and our judges to watch/listen/vote.
Here’s how the finals worked. Our music industry panel rated each song from 1-100 based on commercial potential of the songwriting. We added up their rate points for each song. The single top vote receiving song received 100 extra rate points. We added up all the rate points, both judges and the audience winner, and the song with the most total rate points is crowned our champion!
With 888 total points, our winner is “Any Day Now” by Bryan Ruby! See how the judges voted and the overall tally!
We had an amazing group of judges for our final round. These are all music industry professionals we have had over the years at our Nashville Rising Song event. They are Eric Shawn Carnes and Shawn Davis from Nashville Underground Management, Sheree Spoltore and Lou Spoltore of Global Songwriters Connection, hit songwriter Victoria Banks, Nancy Deckant of DiscoverSooner, Jason Wyatt of Nashville Artist Development, Justine Blazer, a sought after music producer and artist, Barbara Cloyd, of Barbara Cloyd’s Play For Publishers, Chris Love, accomplished musician and producer, and James Rea, of The Producer’s Chair w/James Rea. They all bring many years of experience and know what makes a song a great song!
